Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Bijan would immediately tell you how infectious his energy was! He was extremely thoughtful, caring and always the first one to offer help whenever you needed anything.
Leading up, during and after his trip to Tanzania in 2017 Bijan could not stop talking about these incredible children at the Mary Mother of God of Perpetual Help Center! He was moved by their stories and came back to the United States eager to help their community. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, he was no longer able to get involved like he had planned. Shortly after we gained Bijan as an angel to watch over us, we knew he would want us to fulfill his passion!
In memory of our beloved father, thank you for your support in building a dining hall for these incredible children.
A Message from Bijan's Family:
On August 6, 2022 the dining hall fundraising campaign began with a memorial service for Bijan Gharai. Thanks to the tremendous outpouring of support, on September 7 we held the grand opening of the Dining Hall.
